EAST TAYLOR TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS
                             PUBLIC COMMENT MEETING FOR
                          REZONING JULY 14th, 2007 AT 6:30 P.M.

The public comment rezoning meeting July 14th, 2007 was called to order by Chairman Robert Spanko. All stood and Pledged Allegiance to the flag and observed a moment of silence for our Troops overseas.

ROLL CALL: Members present: Joseph Peruso, Ronald Loya, Randy Vojtowicz, and Robert Spanko. Also present: Russ Heiple and Shannan Kester. ABSENT: Blaine Hull

PUBLIC COMMENT
Spanko: At this time I would like to turn the meeting over to our Township
Solicitor Russ Heiple and open the floor for any public comment.

Russ Heiple: The supervisors have been approached by someone who wants them to consider rezoning some areas. The vast amount of property in East Taylor is agricultural and the zoning map has not been updated in a long time so we called this meeting for any public comment or input in the rezoning. There are no guarantees here at the meeting as to what will be done this is just for public input at this point.
Mr. Pecze: What changes?
Heiple: We have nothing in writing,  a verbal proposal was submitted to the supervisors.
Mr. Pecze: Then why bring it up?
Heiple: For public input. This is just a public comment meeting.
Mr. Pecze: You don’t have enough information
Vojtowicz: This is just a public forum; we make no decisions tonight, after tonight is when we make decisions.
Gerry Glacken: We like the zoning the way it is

*Joel Carpenter and his lawyer stopped in during the rezoning meeting and explained to the Supervisors they are having a problem obtaining an occupancy permit for limited purpose of a used car lot from MDIA and that Carpenters Auto repairs need the Township to authorize the MDIA inspector to issue the occupancy permit. Russ Heiple said he would look into it and take care of it.

Spanko: Any more comments on the rezoning?
No more comments

Motion to adjourn made by Peruso 2nd by Vojtowicz. 4 Ayes. Motion carried.
Adjournment 6:45 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,
Shannan Kester
